You may not know this yet, but epilating is one of the best and cheapest ways to get silky smooth skin that lasts for weeks.
There’s just one problem:
How do you find a product that’s right for you among all the different models available?
Not to worry!
For you, we review the best epilators on the market!
What is the best epilator for 2023?
That’s a good question!
It’s not actually possible to say which ONE epilator is the best fit for ALL the women around the world.
What suits one woman may not suit another!
Our guide reviews top-rated epilators based on their features and performance. So, unless you already know what you are looking for, I recommend you read the Epilator Buying Guide.
But now, here are the best epilators for women in 2023.
1. Braun Silk-épil 9-579 – Best Epilator for 2023
The Braun Silk-épil 9-579 is still one of the best-performing epilators for women today and the winner of our Best Epilator award for the third year in a row!
The Braun Silk-épil 9 is also the best Braun epilator on the market. This model is the best in my opinion and the favorite of thousands of women around the world.
Highlights
- Excellent for removing even very short hairs
- Fast and efficient epilation
- ‘Wet & Dry’ technology
- Cordless use
- 5 attachments
Braun Silk Epil 9 9-579 is definitely at the top in the market.
BestShaverForLadies.com
You might have noticed that there are various series 9 models on sale and you’re probably wondering what’s the difference between them all.
The most important thing to know is that all series 9 models use the same basic epilator. The only difference between them is the type and number of attachments that come with each model.
You can read about my other two favorite Silk- épil 9 epilators here.
But now that we’ve cleared this up, let me tell you why the 9-579 by Braun is the best epilator for 2023.
Wide epilator head
One of the things I love most about the series 9 epilator is that it comes with a 40% wider epilator head than previous Braun’s products. This allows you to cover more skin in one stroke and is what makes the fourth generation superior to all other epilators – you can expect seriously fast and efficient epilation!
Like all series 9 epilators, the 9-579 has 40 tweezers and two different speed levels. It uses an innovative ‘MicroGrip’ technology that is designed to pull out even the thinnest and shortest hairs. The tweezers of series 9 epilators are wider and longer than that of previous versions as well.
A ton of accessories
The Silk-épil 9-579 is a full-body epilator as it comes with five extra pieces that attach to its pivoting head:
- The facial cap covers most of the tweezers and is designed to protect your skin in this delicate area.
- The efficiency cap ensures maximum contact with the skin for more effective epilation.
- The shaver head turns it into an electric shaver.
- The trimmer cap allows you to trim hairs in the bikini area or where needed.
- The special facial cleansing brush helps to remove make-up and other impurities.
These five attachments make the 9-579 epilator the perfect multi-purpose beauty tool and the best buy for the 2023 season!
Thanks to these accessories, the Braun Silk Epil 9 is the best epilator for face, legs, underarms and bikini! You can also check those great epilators for your bikini line and pubic hair.
Like I said before, the only difference between the different series 9 models lies in the attachments they come with. Naturally, the number of attachments will also determine the price.
If you don’t want to pay too much but want to get as much epilating power as possible, check out the Silk-épil 9521 model. If you’re interested in purchasing a full skincare system, consider the 9-961V model that I also review in this article.
Cordless & waterproof
The Silk-épil 9-579 is a cordless epilator and thus waterproof. It takes about 60 minutes to charge and that gives you 40 minutes of epilation time.
The bad thing is:
You can’t use it while it’s charging.
It’s not a big deal though – considering how fast and efficient the epilator is, 40 minutes is plenty to epilate your legs or arms in one go. In fact, I get to use it three or four times on one charge.
The Braun 9-579 epilator and its ‘MicroGrip’ tweezers remove hairs as short as 0,5 mm.
Now, there are lots of other (usually cheaper) products that are supposed to offer the same level of performance, but most of them can’t actually deliver on that promise. Braun is an exception here as it really does remove even the shortest hairs from your body.
Additional features
Additional features of the Silk-épil 9-579 epilator include:
- A pivoting head with massage rollers
- Built-in light
- Pulsating vibration
SUMMARY: The 9-579 Silk-épil model by Braun is definitely the best epilator for 2023. It comes with five different attachments that turn it into a full-body epilator and is the perfect choice if you value quality together with customizability.

Other Popular Braun Silk-épil 9 Models
Braun Silk-épil 9-961V – Braun’s 5-in-1 Skin Care System
The Silk-épil 9-961V is a newer version of the very popular SkinSpa edition that was released a couple of years ago.
The 9-961V is a 5-in-1 skincare system that comes with three special attachments on top of the included facial and efficiency caps, a shaving head, and a trimmer cap.
The attachments are:
- A cup-shaped massage pad that helps stimulate blood circulation and rejuvenate skin.
- A deep exfoliation brush that removes dead skin cells, improves skin appearance and prevents ingrown hairs. The attachment is also available with the 9-941e SkinSpa model.
- A gentle exfoliation brush that can be used to clean sensitive areas like your neck and face. The high-performance bristles remove dead skin cells and help promote fresher younger-looking skin. The attachment is also available with the 9-941e and 9-941 SkinSpa models as well as with the 7-929 model.
Other extras include protection caps for the exfoliating brushes, a travel pouch, a cleaning brush, and Smart Plug cable for fast charging.
SUMMARY: The Silk-épil 9-961V is the right choice if you’re looking for a complete skincare system. With four different epilator attachments plus the massage head and cleaning brushes, it’s the only model on the market that can offer a salon-like skincare experience at home!

Braun Silk-épil 9-890 – 1st smart epilator
The beautiful rose gold colored Silk-épil 9-890 is the latest model in Braun’s series 9 epilators.
It comes with all the same features as our top pick Silk-épil 9-579 and the luxurious 9-961V skincare system reviewed above, but the 9-890 is the world’s first ‘smart epilator’ due to the ‘SensoSmart’ technology it uses.
‘SensoSmart ‘ is an intelligent sensor tells you how much pressure you should use when epilating your arms, legs, or the bikini area. If you are pressing down too hard, a red light switches on to remind you to ease back a little.
Why do you need a smart epilator, you ask?
Well, you don’t. And I think the 9-579 is still the best epilator for 2023 even if it isn’t as ‘smart.’
The ‘SensoSmart’ technology is supposed to ensure even more efficient epilation though. If you’re moving the epilator at the right speed and are applying just the right amount of pressure, you’re able to remove more hairs per stroke.
The 9-890 epilator comes with five additional attachments:
- Facial cap
- Skin contact (efficiency) cap
- Shaving head
- Trimmer cap
- Body and bikini trimmer
SUMMARY: It’s worth a consideration if you’re looking for something that looks and feels more high-end than other Silk-épil 9 epilators.

2. Braun Silk-épil 7-561 – Best Epilator for Sensitive Skin
Braun’s Silk-épil 7-561 model is the highest-rated series 7 epilator and our number two pick for 2023! Although an older version, it’s just as good as the Silk-épil 9-579 reviewed above and great for sensitive skin.
Highlights
- Works well on very short hairs
- Efficient on both thin and thick body hairs
- Best for sensitive skin
- Cordless use
- ‘Wet & Dry’ technology
- Cheaper than most series 9 epilators
Now,
You may be wondering: what is the difference between Braun Silk-épil 7 and 9? The easiest way I can answer this question is by comparing their features throughout this review.
But first:
Like with series 9, there are also a lot of different models available for series 7 and all models come with the exact same epilator. The difference lies in the attachments and accessories that come with each model.
OK!
Now we can take a closer look at this third-generation Braun epilator!
The epilator head
Just like all other series 7 epilators, the Silk-épil 7-561 comes with 40 ‘Close-Grip’ tweezers that pull out even the shortest hairs. The technology that the tweezers use for pulling out hairs is the first difference between Braun Silk-épil 7 and 9.
The 7-561 has two speeds: ‘fast’ for high-efficiency epilation and ‘soft’ for an extra-gentle approach.
Remember that the epilator head of the 7-561 is narrower than the head of the fourth-generation epilator:
You might have to run over the same area a few times before you can get all hairs removed.
The ‘Close-Grip’ tweezers are super effective in getting rid of even the shortest hairs as small as 0,5 mm in length.
The accessories
When it comes to the features and attachments, this series 7 epilator is very similar to our top pick 9-579 reviewed above. The five attachments in the box are:
- A facial cap for removing unwanted hairs on the face and neck area.
- An efficiency cap that helps maintain maximum contact with the skin to ensure more efficient epilation.
- A precision cap (or a sensitive area cap) that covers most of the tweezers and is suitable for epilating sensitive areas such as underarms or the bikini line.
- A shaver head that turns your 7-561 into an electric women’s shaver.
- A trimmer cap that lets you trim hairs in all areas of your body.
The new Silk-épil 7-561 now also comes with a bonus bikini trimmer:
The trimmer that you hold like a pen shortens hair in sensitive areas like the bikini line or underarms. The rounded tips protect your skin from irritation and cuts, making it great for people with sensitive skin. Women who aren’t comfortable epilating these areas will find the bikini trimmer a very useful tool!
The ‘Wet & Dry’ technology
All Silk-épil series 7 epilators are cordless and use ‘Wet & Dry’ technology that makes them waterproof. Epilators that you can use in the shower reduce epilation pain and are easier to clean.
Keep in mind though:
You might find dry epilation more efficient as wet hairs are heavier and tend to break more easily in the shower.
It takes about one hour to fully charge the 7-561 epilator, and you can use it for 40 minutes after that.
Unfortunately:
You can’t use this or any other Silk-épil model while charging. Don’t worry though, 40 minutes is more than enough to cover the largest parts of your body in one go.
Additional features
Additional features of the Silk-épil 7-561 epilator include:
- Pivoting head
- Built-in light
- ‘SmartLift Tips’
There’s one feature that Braun 7 has and series 9 doesn’t, and that is called ‘SmartLift Tips.’ These tips lift up even the flattest hairs and guide them towards the tweezers.
SUMMARY: Braun’s Silk-épil 7-561 is our second choice when it comes to great buys in 2023. It has lots of useful attachments and is excellent for removing even the thinnest and shortest hairs. The included body/ bikini trimmer makes it a good buy if you have sensitive skin.
WE LIKE
- Excellent for removing even very short hairs
- Works well with both thin and thick hairs
- Pivoting head
- 5 attachments
- Can be used in the shower
- Bonus body and bikini trimmer
WE DON’T LIKE
- Not as efficient as Silk-épil 9 epilators
- You can’t use it when it’s charging
Other Popular Silk-épil 7 Models
Braun Silk-épil 7-929 also known as Silk-épil 7 SkinSpa
The Silk-épil 7-929 SkinSpa edition is a 2-in-1 full body exfoliation and epilation system, offering a mini-spa experience in the comfort of your own home!
There are two attachments in the box:
- A facial cleaning brush
- An exfoliation brush
Use the facial cleaning brush to remove make-up and impurities. The brush offers up to six times deeper cleansing than regular washing!
The exfoliation brush with thousands of high-performance bristles helps to rejuvenate skin and improve its appearance by removing dead skin cells and massaging the skin.
Note that the 7-929 model doesn’t come with any parts that attach to the epilator head and I wouldn’t use it on my face because there is no facial cap.
SUMMARY: The 7-929 SkinSpa edition is a great choice though if you want to combine basic epilation with a mini-spa experience.
WE LIKE
- Excellent for skin care
- Uses the series 7 epilator
- One of the cheapest models available
WE DON’T LIKE
- Not suitable for facial hair

3. Panasonic ES-EL 9A-S – Best New Epilator
The Panasonic epilator ES-EL 9A-S ‘Wet & Dry’ epilator is a perfect multi-purpose beauty tool as it comes with lots of different accessories and extras.
It replaces the companies best-selling ES-ED90-P model in a more modern and elegant design.
Highlights
- New model!
- 7 epilator attachments
- Comes with a pedicure buffer (our favorite feature!)
- Best for medium-length and thick hairs
- ‘Wet & Dry’ technology
Like Braun with its series 7 and 9 epilators, Panasonic, too, has a couple of different models available.
Here’s a closer look at what the new EL-series offers.
Great for full body epilation
First off, Panasonic’s ES-EL 9A is a full-body epilator, but although some users say they also remove facial hair with it, I wouldn’t recommend doing that!
If you’re after an epilator that can remove facial hairs too, check out the Braun Silk Epil 9.
The new EL 9A epilator pulls out hairs using 60 high precision hypoallergenic tweezers that rotate at three different speeds.
The Panasonic ES-EL 9A epilator works best on thick medium length hairs around 3-4 millimeters in length. It comes with a bright built-in LED light that helps you see even the finest hairs, a cleaning brush, and a travel pouch.
It’s not so good for epilating fine and short hairs as it leaves lots of them behind. If you’re patient, you can still get good results by running the epilator over the same area multiple times.
And be sure not to apply too much pressure on your skin or it can get stuck between the tweezers.
Lots of accessories
The box includes seven attachments:
- The epilator head, which pivots at 90 degrees and leaves all tweezers exposed. The attachment is perfect for epilating larger areas like your arms or legs.
- The ‘Sensitive Skin Epilator Cap’ covers most of the tweezers for targeted hair removal in sensitive areas like the bikini line or underarms.
- The ‘Gentle Epilator Cap’ is great for beginners as it gently pulls the hairs, letting you get used to the sensation of epilating without too much pain.
- Shaver head with pop up trimmer
- Bikini comb
- Body cleansing brush for exfoliating skin.
- Pedicure buffer
The exclusive pedicure buffer is what we love most about this Panasonic epilator, and no other brand offers this attachment! The buffer head rotates automatically and helps remove dead skin cells from your feet. It’s much more efficient than a manual pedicure, and most users absolutely love this feature!
The ‘Wet & Dry’ function
The epilator is cordless and uses a ‘Wet & Dry’ technology, which means you can use it both in the shower as well as on dry skin.
Now, using it in the shower is great for beginners as it can make epilation less painful. You might notice that epilating when your skin is dry is much more efficient though as wet hairs tend to break more easily.
Can’t be used while charging
It takes one hour to charge fully, and that gives you about 30 minutes for epilation. You can’t use it while it’s charging though, so make sure the battery is full before you begin.
SUMMARY: The Panasonic ES-EL 9A-S epilator is a great choice if you are after a multi-purpose epilator that also doubles as a pedicure buffer. It works great on medium-length hairs, is powerful with its three speed levels, and is suitable for even beginners.
WE LIKE
- New model
- 7 attachments
- Cordless ‘Wet & Dry’ use
- Suitable for sensitive skin
- Great for beginners
- Comes with a pedicure buffer
WE DON’T LIKE
- Doesn’t work well on very short or fine hairs
- Can’t be used while charging
- Can snag skin between the tweezers when pressed too strong against the skin

Other Panasonic Models
Panasonic ES-EL 7A-P
The Panasonic ES-EL 7A comes with five attachments:
- The pivoting head
- Shaver head with a pop-up trimmer
- Gentle Epilator Cap
- Sensitive Skin Epilator Cap
- Bikini comb
The only difference between this model and the ES-EL-9A is that the latter comes with a pedicure buffer and an exfoliation brush. Pick this model if you are looking for epilation only.
4. Philips Satinelle Prestige – Great Wet & Dry Epilator
Philips’ Satinelle Prestige is a newer and more modern version of the company’s best-selling Satin Perfect HP6401 model. It features a sleek award-winning design, comes with eight attachments, and uses the ‘Wet & Dry’ technology.
Highlights
- S-shaped handle
- Best for thicker medium-length hairs
- Total body epilator
- Cordless
- Medium price range
The epilator head & design
The new Satinelle comes with ceramic tweezing discs that provide 32 so-called catching points for removing the hairs.
The ergonomic S-shaped handle and the anti-slip grip make it comfortable to hold and easy to steer. Like all multi-functional epilators, it comes with two speed settings – one for removing thinner and one for thicker hairs.
The design of the Prestige is absolutely gorgeous – with a sleek white handle and an elegant, slightly curved copper-colored head, it’s easily the most beautiful epilator on the market!
8 accessories
Satinelle Prestige is a total body hair removal machine and works great for all areas of your body. Unlike the Satin Perfect, you can use this epilator on your face as well.
It comes with eight attachments:
- A shaving head plus a trimming comb attachment for a close shave
- A facial cap for the sensitive face area
- A delicate area cap for other sensitive areas like underarms and the bikini line
- A massage cap to ease pain
- A body massager attachment to relax the skin during epilation
- Skin stretcher to tighten skin
- An exfoliation brush to remove dead skin cells and help prevent ingrown hairs
Cordless design with ‘Wet & Dry’ function
The Satinelle Advanced is a ‘Wet & Dry’ epilator, which means it’s cordless and you can use it both in the shower as well as on dry skin. It all comes down to your preferences, but most users say it is more efficient on dry skin. Using it in the shower, on the other hand, is said to reduce epilation pain.
It takes about one and a half hours to charge fully, and the battery lasts for 40 minutes after that.
Unfortunately, it can’t be used when charging so it might not be the best choice for you if you have a lot of hairs to remove.
Works best on thick, medium-length hairs
Satin Prestige works best on thicker hairs as it tends just to break or completely miss fine thin hairs. The optimal hair length for efficient epilation with this Philips epilator is medium at about 3 to 4 mm.
Similarly to the HP6401, it doesn’t grab all the hairs at once so you might have to go over the same area multiple times to ensure your skin is completely hair-free. For best results, I recommend you move it across your skin in a slow and even manner.
Extras include a built-in light and massage system. It also comes with a handy travel pouch and a small cleaning brush.
SUMMARY: Overall, this new version of the Philips Satinelle epilator is a great buy. It is competitively priced, easy to use, customizable, and great for whole-body epilation.
WE LIKE
- 8 different attachments
- ‘Wet & Dry’ technology

WE DON’T LIKE

5. Epilady Legend 4th – Best Cordless Epilator
This Epilady epilator is a true legend, just like its name suggests!
It is a new and improved version of the original ‘Epilady Classic,’ which was the first epilator ever designed in 1987. Lots of satisfied customers still swear by this iconic brand!
Highlights
- Very efficient on even short hairs
- Works best on thick and coarse hairs
- Long battery life
- Very long charging time
- Great price
Overview of the Epilady Legend
The 4th generation Epilady Legend comes with 40 tweezers that work at two speeds. It’s perfect for use on your legs, arms, and the bikini line. Many reviewers also say it works just fine on facials hairs, but again, I would be hesitant to use it on my face.
The epilator comes with just one attachment – a ‘Perfect Angle Cap’ that helps you keep the epilator at an optimal angle as you slide it over your skin.
As I was researching this guide, I saw lots of reviews claiming that Epilady works better in some areas than others.
I believe it is due to the unique design Epilady uses. Unlike other devices that you move up and down your body, this one requires circulating motions. This makes it more difficult to epilate areas like the bikini line or underarms.
I also found that it works best on thick, coarse hairs, so that’s probably another reason why women see such different results.
Cordless epilator & usable while charging
You can use the Epilady 4 both cordless as well as corded, and it also works while charging.
One of the reasons we think the Epilady still deserves a place on this list is because you can use it while it’s charging!
It’s a huge advantage over other products as there’s nothing more annoying than running out of battery mid-epilation. If you have lots of hairs to remove, this might be the right device for you.
There is one downside though:
The charging time is super long. Most other models charge fully in one hour, but the Epilady takes 8 hours to charge!
The good thing is the battery then lasts up to one hour, which is almost twice longer than other epilators do. If charging it overnight is not an issue and you’re looking for something with a long battery time, then this is the product for you.
Last thing,
Epilady’s 4th generation Legend is a dry epilator and can’t be used in the shower. It is the only other model on this list besides Braun’s Silk-épil 7 and 9 series that can remove very short hairs only 0.5 mm in length!
SUMMARY: The Epilady 4 is a simple yet efficient hair removal tool. It’s got the longest battery life out of all other epilators (60 minutes) and can remove even the shortest hairs. It is a great pick if you want to invest in a popular and reliable brand!
WE LIKE
- Very efficient on short hairs
- Great for removing thick and coarse hairs
- Can be used corded and cordless
- Can be used while charging
- Long battery life (60 minutes)
- Quiet
WE DON’T LIKE
- Can’t be used in the shower
- Super long charging time
- Not efficient on fine hairs

THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE BUYING AN EPILATOR
Epilators have lots of benefits, but choosing the right hair removal tool is not easy.
There are many things you should consider before investing in one, and there are lots of different brands on the market. What’s even worse: some brands like Braun release new and improved models regularly!
To help you out, I’ve put together this small epilator buying guide.
But before we can move on, there is one thing I need to address:
I want to talk about whether epilating is really as painful as they say.
When I was researching this guide, I saw lots of comments and reviews saying certain products were ‘good’ or ‘bad’ because of how ‘painful’ they felt or didn’t feel.
Epilator companies also play into this narrative by claiming that certain models are more or less painful than others. This might trick you into buying a device based on the marketing/review hype only.
The truth is, how painful epilation feels depends on many things:
- Whether it’s your first time epilating or not
- How long and thick are the hairs on your body
- What area you’re epilating (i.e., legs versus underarms)
- Your personal threshold of pain, etc.
I can guarantee that if it’s your first time epilating or if you haven’t epilated for a while, it is going to be painful. I mean think about it:
Your skin is most likely covered with thick and long hairs, and you’ll be pulling them out by the hundreds. Of course it’s going to hurt! But it will get better after the first time. I promise.
If you’re still worried about pain, check out our epilator reviews. Some models like Braun’s Silk-épil 7-561 and Panasonic’s EL 9A come with ‘beginners’ caps’ (aka ‘Precision Caps’ or ‘Gentle Epilator Caps’) that cover most of the tweezers and allow you to get used to the sensation of pain slowly.
And now that we’ve cleared this up, let’s take a look at some of the most important things to consider when it comes to buying an epilator that’s right for you.
Budget
Your budget will determine what kind of epilators are available to you:
- Cheaper models don’t come with many accessories and they usually only work best on medium-length coarse hairs.
- More expensive epilators come with different accessories like sensitive skin and massage caps, facial caps, or exfoliating brushes, and work well on both fine and coarse hairs as short as 0.5 mm in length.
Epilating Power
The number of tweezers an epilator has isn’t the only thing that shows how powerful or efficient it is:
For example, an epilating device with a wider head can perform better than one with a narrower head as the first can cover more skin in one stroke. Higher speeds also determine how fast you can remove the hairs.
Go for something that has a combination of all three features.
Which parts of your body are you most likely going to remove hairs from?
Some epilators are only good for use in certain areas like arms or legs. Some devices come with special caps that turn them from full-body epilators into a bikini or face epilators. It might be worth investing in a more expensive product that can remove hairs from different parts of the body.
Use of ‘Wet & Dry’ technology
Hair removal tools using the ‘Wet & Dry’ technology are very convenient because you can use them in the shower.
That’s good news, especially if you’re worried about epilation pain:
Hot water opens up pores and soothes the skin, which means it could help minimize pain.
Keep in mind though that dry epilation is considered to be more effective as water drops tend to weigh down the hairs, making it more difficult to grasp them or breaking them completely.
Corded or cordless?
You might prefer a cordless epilator if flexibility is important to you as you can use it pretty much anywhere without having to look for an electric plug.
Epilators using a ‘Wet & Dry’ technology are cordless, of course, and you can use them in the shower too. They usually take about one hour to charge and last for 40 minutes after that.
Cordless epilators come with either a built-in rechargeable battery or with exchangeable batteries. Remember that the more powerful an epilator is, the faster it drains the batteries. A cordless epilator you can recharge at any time is a better choice in the long term. That said, you don’t have any of these concerns if you opt for a corded epilator instead.
Any additional features?
Depending on your chosen brand, an epilator can come with extra features such as a built-in massage system, a built-in light, or multiple speed options. More expensive devices also come with different attachments like trimmers, shaving heads, caps, etc.
When deciding between different models, think whether any of these extra features are important to you.
Frequently Asked Questions
⭐ How does an epilator work?
There are lots of different kinds of epilators available and the specific mechanisms they use depend on the exact brand or model you choose. Newer epilators capture unwanted body hairs between tweezers and then pull them out by using rotating moving parts
⭐ How to use an epilator?
The epilating process is very straightforward and simple, but there are a few things you should do to prepare your skin first:
1. If you’ve never epilated before, shave your legs or whichever area you want to remove hairs from three to five days before epilation. Epilators are most effective when working with hairs around 2-3 mm in length. Shaving some days before epilation allows the hairs to grow back to a suitable length. Pulling out shorter hairs is usually less painful too.
2. Use a body scrub or a scrubbing glove to exfoliate your skin a couple of days before epilating. Exfoliation prevents ingrown hairs as it removes dead skin cells.
3. Moisturize your skin regularly until you’re ready to epilate. Parched, dry, and already sensitized skin makes epilating painful and uncomfortable. On the other hand, hydrated and soft skin makes the hair removal process much more comfortable.
Now, regarding how to actually use an epilator:
1. Keep the epilator at a 90-degree angle to your skin.
2. Don’t press it down too strong.
3. Keep skin firm and taut as you move.
4. Epilate against the direction of hair growth.
⭐ Are epilators painful?
Epilating can certainly be painful if you haven’t done it before or if you haven’t epilated in a long time. Just how painful it is depends on how sensitive your skin is, but most people do experience some pain and discomfort when epilating for the first time.
The good news: it is possible to reduce epilation pain, and if you do it often enough, you’ll become more tolerant to pain.
⭐ How to Clean an Epilator?
Unplug your epilator and release the head from the body.
2. Take the small brush that came with your epilator or use a toothbrush to brush loose hairs off the epilator cap and head. Turn your epilator upside down and shake gently to remove hairs that may be stuck inside. Manually turn the tweezers back and forth as you brush the head to remove stuck hairs.
3. Rinse the epilator cap and head under running water, gently rotating the tweezers to make sure all hairs get removed.
4. Sanitize the epilator head by pouring a bit of alcohol on a cotton pad and rubbing it on the tweezers.

I have been using the Karmin, came with every possible attachment.
With a very long battery life, a blade you can switch once a year and nice on my sensitive skin, the Panasonic ES-ED90 P is the epilator I have always used and never regretted at any point. I totally recommend this.
Thanks for your comment, Philberta! The ED90 is definitely a great multi-purpose epilator. We especially love the pedicure buffer!
I love my Philips Satinelle Advanced epilator. it’s very comfortable to use, cordless and works perfectly with the length of my hair. Just that I don’t appreciate that I have to use it only when it’s not charging.
Hi Aishah, you are right the Satinelle Advanced is a very efficient epilator.
I’m using the Karmin epilator and I really like it is perfect, I recommend it.
